Let’s face it, learning about puberty can be a painful process! Let me help you with this important topic by taking away the embarrassment and explaining the topics in a sensible yet age-appropriate manner. Empowering our girls with knowledge about their bodies is so crucial as they’re taking the next steps in growth and development. You decide: this online education can be viewed privately in the comfort of your own home, it can be viewed along with a trusted adult, or can even be watched in a group setting with other girls to promote togetherness and ultimately, normalcy in this process. We’re learning just the basics here: body changes including growth, skin and hair changes, sweating and hygiene, changes with smiles and normalcy of braces, breast changes and decisions about bras, hair growth including leg, underarm, and pubic area as well. We’ll gently introduce female anatomy along with the menstrual period, what to expect, how to best prepare, and various products available. In addition, we’ll talk about normal emotional changes during this time, strategize how to cope with emotions, and practicing kindness with self and others.
