The Maternal Newborn Nursing Care (MNNC) program was one of the most meaningful learning experiences I’ve had. Even though it was an accelerated course, nothing felt rushed or skimmed over. The videos and study materials were thoughtfully created and made it easier to really absorb the content—they helped lay the foundation so that in class, we could go even deeper into the subject matter. Kristi Eichhorn is an absolutely incredible instructor. She’s not only extremely knowledgeable and experienced, but she teaches with such warmth, kindness, and genuine encouragement. She welcomed questions, created space for us to share experiences, and made herself available outside of class if we ever needed support. Her passion for supporting women, moms, and babies shines through in everything she does, and it made learning from her feel both serious and sacred. Practicing hands-on skills in person gave me so much more confidence in myself, and I left the program feeling proud and prepared. I can’t recommend this course enough to any nurse who wants to step into maternal-newborn care with strong guidance, heart, and a whole lot of support.

I've been a nurse for 10 years, and during that time I obtained a wide variety in Med/Surg, Orthopedics, Outpatient, and Intensive Care settings. Over the past year, I've questioned whether or not the ICU was the best place to use MY own personal strengths to help others. May 2024, my husband and I endured what can simply be described as a life-altering and heartbreaking event, and that is: the premature birth and death of our second child, Jack, who was only 21 weeks of age. My personal experiences with difficult pregnancies and fetal demise shed light and clarity on what God was calling me to do next. As an mother of an angel-baby and an aspiring L&D nurse, this course has provided me with so much additional knowledge and reassurance that I am on the right path to fulfilling my true calling. Kristie Eichhorn an *unbelievable* amount of knowledge and experience, and she is truly so inspiring. All of the instructors are truly passionate about what they do, making it that much more enjoyable to learn. I'm so impressed with the way the program is organized. I'm very hopeful that the completion of this course will be of great help, and an essential stepping stone, as I make this transition in practice. If you've thought about being a Mother-Baby/Labor and Delivery nurse, you need to sign up for this class. This will help bring you some clarity and validation on whether or not its the field of nursing for you.

This course provided in-depth knowledge of nursing care in prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum settings. Kristi is a true gem in this field, with incredible knowledge and a genuine passion for what she does, making her an outstanding provider and educator. I was also very impressed with the other educators in the lectures and their expertise within OB. The knowledge I've gained throughout this course has boosted my confidence about stepping into an OB setting in the future!

The information presented in this course is absolutely vital and necessary for any nurse aspiring to work in Labor and Delivery! Kristi is very organized, helpful, and thorough. Kristi, as well as the other speakers, presented the information in a thorough, yet easy to understand manner. I learned so much through this course and look forward to using these new skills and information in my future career.

AMAZING COURSE!!! Kristi and all others involved with SCCEd are so intelligent, inspirational, and truly passionate about the obstetric field. They all created an engaging learning environment that encouraged questions, discussion, and critical thinking. Complex topics were presented in a clear, evidence-based manner, making them easy to understand and apply to clinical practice. As a nursing student with a strong passion for maternal-child health and a future goal of working in Labor & Delivery, the MNNC course further solidified my desire and passion to care for mothers and newborns during such a transformative time in their lives! What stood out most to me was the emphasis on safe, compassionate, family and patient-centered care. The integration of real-life clinical scenarios, newborn assessment skills, maternal complications, breastfeeding support, and current perinatal safety standards significantly strengthened my clinical foundation. The content directly aligns with what I hope to practice in Labor & Delivery and newborn care settings. This course not only enhanced my knowledge and confidence, but also reaffirmed my commitment to advocating for mothers and babies! I highly recommend the MNNC program to any nurse or nursing student interested in pursuing a career in maternal-newborn or perinatal nursing!

This is one of my favorite courses I have taken in awhile! The set-up was seamless and all the information was presented in a way that was easy to learn and digest. I really appreciated all the instructors in this course. I came out of this month long program with SO much new knowledge and a drive to be a better nurse!

Honestly, this was the best course I have ever taken--that's including both my undergraduate and graduate career. There is so much information, but it is very manageable if you've survived nursing school already. The instructors are very knowledgeable, experienced, and inspiring. After taking this class, I feel empowered to empower other mothers and families during their birthing and postpartum experiences. After working in postpartum for several years, I regret not taking this class sooner.

Kristi is truly an encyclopedia of women’s and obstetric nursing knowledge. Her depth of experience and understanding shines through in every lecture and presentation. She has this incredible way of being so thorough in her teaching that she naturally answers any questions before you even have a chance to ask them. Every topic was delivered with clarity, relevance, and clinical insight. What I appreciated most was that there was never a moment where we were tested on material that hadn’t been clearly taught—everything was fair, well-explained, and connected to real-life practice. I’ve worked in Labor and Delivery for over three years, and this course still managed to teach me so much more than I ever expected. I walked away feeling incredibly grateful, empowered, and better prepared to care for my patients. This course is a must for anyone serious about excelling in maternal-newborn nursing.

This class was amazing, and I’m so glad I decided to take it. I was initially on the fence because of the financial investment, but I can honestly say that every minute was worth it. The instructors go above and beyond to ensure we learn the most up-to-date practices in OB nursing. I thought I had a solid understanding going in, but I came out with a wealth of knowledge that I’ll be forever grateful for. Every part of this course is valuable, and I promise—you won’t regret taking it.

This course is amazing! The presenters really help bring it to life so you can fully appreciate its importance. It offers a lot in learning and knowledge. I’m so happy Kristi led me to this course as a new grad, it has honestly been a great experience. 10/10!!

This course is a MUST for any RN thinking of starting or transitioning to Maternal - Newborn nursing path. Very intense course, but ALL the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about OB. They are very helpful always more than happy to answer any questions. I really enjoyed the course and grateful to have met such wonderful mentors!
