With multiple gestation pregnancies on the rise, this course is critical for labor and delivery nursing staff. In this course, we'll focus primarily on twins, identifying the differences in zygocity and chorionicity, and we'll understand the various complications patients carrying multiples are at higher risk of developing. We’ll delve into the anticipated prenatal course and antepartum management strategies, and outline the important nursing assessments of the multiple gestation pregnancy. Lastly, we’ll outline nursing priorities related to multiples in the L&D and Postpartum setting, including assessment requirements and anticipatory management guidelines.
